44 Year old woman undergones Breast Reconstruction in 3 Stages

Procedure Details

This 44 year old woman was diagnosed with right breast cancer and underwent mastectomy with Immediate Reconstruction. She did not require radiation therapy. The surgery was done in 3 stages: Stage 1 - a tissue expander was inserted on the right side following the mastectomy. Stage 2 - The tissue expander was exchanged for an Silicone implant on the right and a left breast lift was performed to achieve symmetry bilaterally. Stage 3 - Nipple areola grafting to the right breast. The patient chose to undergo nipple areola tattooing. Post operative photographs were taken 3 months after the final procedure.
